The French electricity giant uses Dataiku in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meltone.com\/partenaires\/microsoft-power-bi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Power BI<\/a> to democratise data internally and deliver high value-added customer use cases. <\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Feedback from a French energy player<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The company\u2019s Head of Innovation Labs explains that these two solutions were chosen for their accessibility and ease of use, as both are no-code\/low-code platforms. Both pieces of software are fed by several data capture solutions and complement each other to meet users\u2019 needs: Dataiku is used for data blending (Data Science), while Power BI is used to create dashboards (Data Visualisation). <\/p>\n<p>One advantage cited for Dataiku is the platform\u2019s interface, which is presented as a visual pipeline. The different stages of this pipeline are clearly displayed and serve as documentation when an employee takes over the existing project, making it a sustainable solution. <\/p>\n<p>Let us now see how this company uses Dataiku in practice to create value through two use cases:<\/p>\n<h4>Use case No. 1: Anticipating reception workload =&gt; predictive analysis<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Finding: 8 million customer contacts on the platforms with significant variations<\/li>\n<li>Objective: Model reception activity workload by taking into account influencing factors and historical figures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Use case No. 2: Steering connection actions =&gt; descriptive analysis<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Finding: Very strong growth in connections while working to reduce lead times<\/li>\n<li>Objective: Compare and identify over time whether improvement actions are truly delivering results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><u>What\u2019s new in Dataiku DSS 12<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition, we were able to speak with Dataikers who presented the main new features of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataiku.com\/product\/product-updates\/dataiku-version-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest version of Dataiku DSS <\/a>(version 12):<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Generative AI<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>An OpenAI ChatGPT plugin is available to build natural language models accessible to non-coders: text generation, classification and summarisation, as well as drafting answers to one or more question(s).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.meltone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image1-1-1024x484-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54431\" width=\"548\" height=\"259\"><\/figure>\n<h4><strong>Automatic feature generation<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>The \u201cGenerate features\u201d recipe automatically generates new features from your datasets while avoiding prediction loss. Feature generation can include transformations such as, for example, numerical aggregations, extracting parts of dates, and calculating values within certain time windows.
