A consistent gain in closing times
The most tangible result: quarterly closings went from 15 days to 2 days. This 87% reduction frees up valuable time for teams, now focused on analysis rather than data collection.

Financial management of an international insurance group is a constant challenge. Siloed data, manual processes, excessive closing periods: all obstacles that limit the responsiveness of Finance teams. By leveraging the Pigment EPM solution and MeltOne’s business expertise, the group radically transformed its management control system.
Before the project, the finance department relied on Excel files and SAP. This organization generated several concrete problems:
Faced with this situation, the Executive Committee decided to launch an RFP (request for proposal) to select an EPM solution suited to the group’s ambitions. The objective was clear: modernize financial performance management while gaining operational agility.
At the end of the selection process, Foyer selected Pigment as the EPM solution and MeltOne as the integration partner. This partnership convinced through several key dimensions.
Functional Expertise at the Service of Management Control
MeltOne demonstrated dual competence: mastery of business issues specific to management control in an insurance group, and the ability to support process evolution. The promise of progressive skill development for internal teams was also decisive.
Pigment: Flexibility, Scalability, and Autonomy
Pigment stood out for three essential reasons. First, its flexibility: the platform is a true toolkit, customizable according to the company’s evolving needs. Second, the autonomy it provides to business teams, without permanent dependence on the integrator. Finally, its continuous innovation capacity: Pigment regularly enriches its solution, ensuring Foyer has a sustainable and evolving platform.
The project began with the priority scope: the local Luxembourg market. Over the first six months, MeltOne teams worked closely with Foyer’s management controllers to configure the solution.
This co-construction approach was a key success factor. Business teams were involved from the start in configuring the tool. This active participation strengthened their ownership of the solution and facilitated their skill development.
The technical component automated data collection and transformation, freeing teams from low-value tasks to focus on analysis and strategic planning.
“We needed to simplify and automate processes. Enable headquarters allocations to be distributed across different entities and their departments. The teams are now fully invested in the tool because they configured it with us.”
The production deployment of Pigment produced immediately visible benefits across several dimensions.
“What attracted us to MeltOne was first and foremost the expertise offered in management control, process evolution, and support on these business topics.”
The initial deployment in the Luxembourg market is only a first step. Foyer plans to extend Pigment to all business lines of the group. HR management control will also be integrated into the platform.
The group also intends to leverage new modules available in Pigment, particularly the “Modelers,” to enable non-technical profiles to access data more quickly. The co-construction approach will continue to guide this evolution.
