A look back at the CCH Tagetik in Touch 2019 event

MeltOne Advisory, an expert in performance management and the leading CCH Tagetik partner in France, participated in the latest CCH Tagetik global event in early May. This was an opportunity for our teams to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to CCH Tagetik with our Platinum Partner status.
The icing on the cake: our client Manitou Group received “The CCH Tagetik Budgeting and Planning Project of the Year” Award during the closing session.

#1 Mining your Gold in a constantly changing world

Behind the brick ramparts crowned with greenery, the CCH Tagetik annual event “Mining your Gold” took place from May 15 to May 17 in the beautiful Tuscan city of Lucca, Italy. The opening of the Tagetik event was conducted by author and economic journalist Alain Friedman, who gave a presentation on our current economic situation in a context described as “The Certainty of Uncertainty,” calling on us to look at the risks and opportunities. Ralf Gärtner, the new General Manager of Corporate Performance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer, concluded by encouraging us to project ourselves even further through CCH Tagetik and, of course, to better exploit your “Data,” which is considered “Gold.”

#2 Numerous sessions and demonstrations

The main objective of this type of event is to present the CCH Tagetik solution to prospects and its latest innovations to clients and partners. More than 70 workshops and other demonstrations were scheduled over the 2 days of the event. 4 themes were offered:

• Budgeting & Planning,
• Consolidation,
• Reporting & Regulatory,
• Modernization of finance.

Alongside these workshops, it was also possible to meet CCH Tagetik experts at dedicated stands. This was an opportunity to discuss the various issues that make up the daily life of finance departments and to obtain an expert opinion on the different solutions offered by CCH Tagetik.

Client and partner feedback sessions were also organized throughout the event to provide a concrete presentation of the CCH Tagetik solution’s contribution to the daily operations of finance departments.

#3 New features

This type of event is also an opportunity for CCH Tagetik to present the latest features of its solution. We noted 3 that seem important to us:

• The growing strength of the partnership and integration with S4 Hana solutions from the German publisher SAP.
• The CCH Tagetik unified platform and the core of the product are evolving, notably with:
  • The generalization of AIH (Analytical Information Hub), CCH Tagetik’s “supercharged” platform, allowing for the management of a large number of analysis axes and much larger data volumes while improving performance.
  • Continuous improvement of the user experience with the complete redesign of the user interface in HTML5.
• Support for the new standard for transmitting financial information to regulators (iXBRL), notably through a strategic partnership with the company CoreFiling.

#4 An even stronger partnership with SAP

As mentioned previously, CCH Tagetik is moving even closer to SAP. Last year, they laid the first brick of this technological partnership by announcing CCH Tagetik’s compatibility with the Hana database. This year, they are highlighting an even deeper integration with the German publisher’s solutions, notably S4 Hana and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) for Data Visualization. These announcements provide a real area for reflection for clients already equipped with SAP on the ERP side, with the possibility of benefiting from all the power of the CCH Tagetik tool within a SAP environment.

#5 Case study: Manitou Group project

As part of the feedback sessions, we co-presented the Connected Planning solution implemented on CCH Tagetik with our client Manitou Group: “From order intake to the Group’s consolidated margin.” This ambitious project for the Manitou Group was recognized during the closing session of the 2019 Modern Finance Organization Award as “The CCH Tagetik Budgeting & Planning Project of the Year.”

#6 A Platinum stand for MeltOne

This type of event is also an opportunity to exchange informally with clients and prospects. To this end, MeltOne Advisory, a Platinum partner of the event, had its own stand where it was possible to learn about our offers and client references, and to speak with our various Consolidation and Management experts.
