Artelia modernizes its statutory consolidation and strengthens its data governance with a unified EPM platform

Artelia is an international multidisciplinary engineering group, present in over 40 countries and with nearly 9,000 employees. Before the project, the group’s statutory consolidation relied on a legacy tool (BFC Magnitude), supplemented by numerous Excel files for management and reporting. This coexistence of tools and practices generated discrepancies, manual restatements, and increasing complexity for the teams. Faced with these limitations, Artelia launched an EPM transformation project with several structuring objectives:

Beyond the tool, the project had a strong organizational dimension: harmonizing
practices, aligning management rules, and supporting change among users.
The choice of an open and scalable EPM platform
Following a call for tenders, Artelia selected CCH Tagetik to replace its existing system. The platform stood out for its ability to cover both statutory consolidation and management, while ensuring automatic reconciliation between the two scopes. Key criteria included:
- A unique and scalable platform, capable of integrating new functional modules,
- Native volume management, allowing for granular analysis,
- Powerful and centralized management rules,
- Continuous consideration of regulatory changes.

To successfully complete this project within a tight deadline, Artelia relied on MeltOne as an integrator. The project was conducted using a phased approach:

of management and consolidation scopes, -
Detailed design
including management rules, financial reporting, and reporting mock-ups, -
Acceptance testing, historical data migration, and go-live support.
The dual expertise of the MeltOne teams, both in Finance functional aspects and Tagetik technical skills, was a key success factor. The teams’ involvement from the early stages, particularly during the POC, helped secure structuring choices and engage business teams.
