IPSEN – BlackLine
I – Context
IPSEN wanted to improve its current account reconciliation and manual journal entry processes with the BlackLine solution. This solution was to be implemented by March 2022.
II – Client Challenges
IPSEN wanted to focus on 4 main principles:
- Strengthen internal control
- Optimize the efficiency and quality of the financial close
- Enable virtual and remote closing
- BlackLine opportunities prior to the S/4 project taking place in 2022
III – The MeltOne Solution
The MeltOne approach was built around the following 4 pillars:
- Agile methodology
- Progressive solution delivery
- Continuous knowledge transfer
- Relationship of trust and close collaboration between IPSEN/MeltOne/BlackLine
Furthermore, the scope covers 150 users and 26 subsidiaries for the shared service centers in France, the UK, and the US
The project team was organized as follows:
- 1 Project Manager (MeltOne)
- 1 Implementation Consultant (MeltOne)
- 1 Engagement Manager (BlackLine)
- 1 Implementation Consultant (BlackLine)
- 1 Central Business + IT team (IPSEN)
IV – Results
The go-live of the Account Reconciliations module for the 3 Shared Service Centers (France, UK, US) was achieved in October 2021.
Consequently, the Journal Entry module will go live in March 2022.
IPSEN particularly appreciated working with us due to our knowledge of their context and ecosystem, following numerous projects completed together (iSAP implementation, business assistance, project management), as well as the relationship of trust we maintain.
