CONTEXT

Having invented the assistance business over forty years ago, Europ Assistance operates worldwide, which represents a tremendous asset but also a real management challenge for the finance community. As part of the overall redesign of the Management Information System for the Generali Group, of which it is a subsidiary, Europ Assistance decided to launch a scoping study on the evolution of its Financial Information System. The structural elements of the new Information System were to be based on the implementation of IFRS accounting, a single source of financial data to feed both management control and consolidation in parallel, and automation of flows between the different application layers of the Information System in order to refocus as much as possible on advisory and analysis tasks.

IMPLEMENTATION

Development of an Information System master plan aimed at improving the production of financial reports. Identification of organizational, business, and Information System impacts and development of an implementation roadmap. A broad functional scope (management control, statutory consolidation, Solvency 2 prudential reporting).

RESULT

Master plan for the future Europ Assistance finance Information System based on SAP and TAGETIK software for the Holding company and its thirty subsidiaries. Following this study, the implementation program was launched and the MeltOne teams are involved in this implementation.
