Statutory consolidation, management reporting, and budgeting

CONTEXT

Moret Industries is an international French Group with more than 40 entities grouped into 5 business divisions. In 2015, the Group launched a project aimed at optimizing, harmonizing, and improving the reliability of the collection and production of its Group reporting (and its 5 divisions), as well as structuring and improving its budgeting process.

This project had several objectives: improving the reliability of monthly management reporting, simplifying the reconciliation between accounting and management, encouraging collaborative work by prioritizing information sharing, and providing users with an accessible solution whose management, operation, and evolution could be handled internally, as well as structuring and optimizing its budgeting process.

IMPLEMENTATION

To achieve this, the Moret Industries Group selected the SAP BPC Microsoft version. This solution allowed it to meet its main objectives while integrating into its IT landscape. The solution interfaces with non-SAP ERP systems (IFS, BAAN) for transactional and master data.

The project was divided into 3 main phases: statutory reporting (phase 1), management reporting (phase 2), and budgeting (phase 3).

MeltOne worked on a fixed-price basis on the implementation of the SAP BPC solution for all these reports. MeltOne was involved in all phases of the project, from functional design to go-live, including configuration, user acceptance testing support, and data migration.

RESULTS

A unified solution that facilitates and improves the reliability of information reporting from the various subsidiaries. A solution that simplifies the reconciliation between accounting and management and the reconciliation of intercompany flows. An optimized budgeting process that takes into account the specificities of each division’s activities while offering a harmonized solution at the aggregate level.
