Galeries Lafayette – Implémentation de la solution unifiée CCH Tagetik

I – Context

Galeries Lafayette, a French department store leader and world-renowned, wanted to integrate the CCH® Tagetik solution and ensure its Third-Party Application Maintenance. Thus, the project covered all business scopes.

II – Challenge and Implementation

The main challenges of the project named PICSOU2 were to manage budget preparation covering all business scopes within a single tool and regain the trust of end-users.

The approach proposed by MeltOne was divided into 2 parts: a technical management part (tool configuration and implementation, and technical support) and a training part (workshops and key user training).

To carry out this project, MeltOne provided an experienced team that worked closely with 2 project managers and 5 key users from Galeries Lafayette. For project management, the different teams used the Google suite. In addition, they set up weekly (operational monitoring) and monthly (planning monitoring) meetings following the Agile method (3-week, 3-step sprints).

III – RESULTS

The various works carried out have improved the efficiency of the planning and data analysis cycle and the implementation of a reporting module. In addition, this has led to a reduction in closing times and costs.

Time savings: 15 days. 1 week upstream on revenue and margin preparation and 1 week downstream on data transmission to the holding company.

We had 3 main objectives: to gain the client’s trust by emphasizing the reliability of the CCH® Tagetik solution, by demonstrating that MeltOne had understood the need by redoubling efforts on change management, and by restoring positive momentum for the CCH® Tagetik solution.”

Wahid Hammadi, EPM Manager

“The complexity of the projects stemmed from different points: the first was the organizational complexity of the Lafayette group […] the second point was that Galeries Lafayette’s activity is organizational, so multi-currency management was necessary. The last point of complexity lay in the data model. Indeed, the Lafayette group’s activity is broken down into several axes: the group, types of activities, and assortment mode.”

Abdelhak Nasri, EPM Director

Future project: integration of CCH Tagetik investment simulations and investment plan, integrating 5-year forecasts to standardize the business plan process.

Testimonial

“We appreciated the techno-functional expertise of their resources, which allowed us to have direct exchanges between the integrator’s teams and Galeries Lafayette’s business teams without an AMOA intermediary.” “We built a relationship of trust and were able to work hand in hand, all focused on the same objective.”

Sid Belounis Senior Project Manager at Les Galeries Lafayette.
