Anticiper la fin de SAP BFC : Econocom sécurise sa transition EPM avec MeltOne
Paris, March 2026 – While the scheduled end of SAP BFC by 2030 is prompting many groups to reflect on the future of their financial consolidation tools, Econocom has chosen to anticipate this deadline. The group has launched a structural project aimed at modernizing its EPM system, while securing consolidation processes that are already mature and widely adopted by the teams. To lead this transition, Econocom relied on MeltOne, an international consulting and integration firm that supports companies in their digital transformation.
Replacing SAP BFC without disruption for the teams
“By replacing BFC with Tagetik, our organization has acquired a unified platform, serving more efficient consolidation and reinforced financial management. MeltOne’s support was a key success factor, securing each stage of the project and encouraging team buy-in within a rigorous and results-oriented methodological framework.”
Support and user training to ensure continuity
Beyond the implementation of Tagetik, MeltOne supported Econocom with an approach centered on usage and team ownership. The challenge was to preserve existing benchmarks while introducing new practices that are more structural and clearer for end users.
Training sessions were organized on-site to allow Finance teams to quickly project themselves into the new environment. Two parallel run phases with SAP BFC were then implemented to compare results, adjust settings, and secure the final switch to Tagetik. The first closing performed without SAP BFC, in the fall of 2025, was thus carried out under controlled conditions.
Initial user feedback highlights Tagetik’s fluid navigation, a beneficial contribution to structuring closing work and better visibility into process progress. This evolution is part of a broader market trend, as many groups anticipate the end of SAP BFC and engage in similar EPM modernization projects.
“The scheduled end of SAP BFC is now pushing many groups to ask the right questions. The challenge of our support with Econocom was not only to change tools, but to secure a complex transition by respecting existing practices and supporting the teams over the long term,” concludes Emeric Giraud, EPM Lead at MeltOne.
