Betclic & MeltOne: A collaboration to model and manage performance with Pigment
A need for agility and collaboration
In 2022, in a context of strong growth and a highly regulated market, Betclic was looking to equip itself with a tool to support its teams in managing financial forecasts, with specific needs: flexibility, rapid deployment, the ability to adapt to the particularities of the online gaming industry, and ease of use to foster internal collaboration. After a comparative study phase, Pigment quickly emerged as the most suitable solution. To support the implementation, Betclic engaged MeltOne, Pigment’s preferred partner, able to provide both functional and technical expertise.

“MeltOne came in upstream of the project, from the demonstration phase. They were able to understand our expectations, propose a model starting from a blank sheet, and prove to us in real time the flexibility and power of the solution,”
Victor Henri, Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Betclic
The project was launched without delay, with a clear objective: deliver an initial operational scope in under six months, including training for internal teams. To achieve this, MeltOne favoured a co-construction approach, fully integrating Betclic’s finance teams into the development of the model.
-
“One of the challenges was to guarantee the autonomy of Betclic’s teams. From the outset, we worked hand in hand to transfer our skills, support them with modelling best practices and ensure that they could subsequently evolve the solution independently,”
Camille Maurice, Director of Data & Analytics at MeltOne.
A successful bet: six months later, Betclic had a fully operational tool, integrated with its ERP, enabling finance teams to manage their budgets, forecasts and KPIs more effectively, while remaining autonomous in evolving it.
From finance to HR: expanding the scope
Building on the success of the first project, Betclic decided to continue the collaboration with MeltOne, this time on a very different scope: HR, with the annual salary review process. That same year, in 2022, a second project was launched to digitise the process, which had previously been managed in Excel. The process was complex, time-consuming and difficult to consolidate.
Once again, MeltOne stepped in with an adapted approach: a turnkey development led in collaboration with the group’s HR teams (Xavier Guery and Anne-Claire Longet), resulting in the implementation of a comprehensive tool for managing salary budgets and their impact on the payroll.
“We needed a robust tool, capable of structuring our HR processes while providing visibility and consistency across several countries. MeltOne was able to meet this need, delivering a tool in just 40 days,” says Victor Henri.
A partnership built on trust and efficiency
Over the course of the projects, MeltOne has become a trusted partner for Betclic. The firm’s ability to adapt to the sector’s specific needs, offer tailor-made solutions, and transfer its expertise to the teams has helped establish a lasting relationship of trust.
“I really appreciated the collaboration with Meltone, who were available, transparent in their approach and pragmatic throughout the project. MeltOne kept its commitments, delivered within tight deadlines, while enabling us to become autonomous with the tool,” concludes Victor Henri.
