Galeries Lafayette: Driving store-floor profitability with CCH® Tagetik and Power BI
In this context, the Finance teams wanted to strengthen their ability to analyse profitability per square metre, by brand, floor and retail universe, while sharing a common view of performance with buyers and in-store teams.
Key challenges for Galeries Lafayette
Before the project, profitability calculations relied on a legacy system with limited flexibility and numerous manual processes, restricting the depth of analysis and teams’ responsiveness.
The main challenges were to:
Choosing an integrated CCH® Tagetik & Power BI approach
Galeries Lafayette selected CCH Tagetik as the central engine for analytical profitability calculations, replacing SAP.
The solution is based on:
- more than 300 calculation items,
- around 50 allocation rules,
- an analytical database capable of processing 10 million lines in 15 minutes (versus a full day previously).
Data visualisation is delivered via Power BI, enabling users to navigate freely by store, brand, floor or country, without multiplying dashboards.
The MeltOne teams supported Galeries Lafayette with target architecture design, modelling calculation rules, performance optimisation, and enabling business users to take ownership of the solution.
Tangible, measurable results
